WORLD'S TOP 5 MOST EXPENSIVE DESSERTS at 06:43We've posted the world's most expensive cupcakes and for this particular entry, we would post the world's top 5 most expensive desserts. Still think that you're rich? Well, take a look on these very expensive desserts! Hey, everyone needs their own luxury, right?
Toys on a dish? No, it's not. It is actually a dessert consisting of gold leaf and Irish cream which makes up an Italian cassata. This fancy looking dessert is made available in Wine3 restaurant in The Fortress, a Sri Lankan luxury hotel. What are the other things served with it? A mango, pomegranate compote, a champagne sabayon enlighten and a chocolate sculpture of a stilt fisherman sitting over an 80-carat aquamarine. FROZEN HAUTE CHOCOLATE – US$25,000 Listen up dear wealthy chocoholics, this fabulous sundae is produced by a joint venture between Serendipity 3 and jeweler Euphoria New York. It has 28 cocoas, which half of them are among the world's most expensive. That is not the only thing that makes this sundae very expensive, it also consists five grams of 23k gold. It is served with a gold bracelet and a diamond around the base with edible gold in a goblet lining on top. PLATINUM CAKE – US$130,000This cake was created by a Japanese pastry chef Nobue Ikara and he dedicated this not so cheap cake to famous Japanese women like Rinko Kikuchi and Chie Kumawaza. With this cake, he hopes more women would wear platinum jewelry. You can see from the picture above that this cake is sparkling from platinum necklaces, pins, pendants and, for the good of our teeth, edible platinum flakes.
STRAWBERRIES ARNAUD – US$1.4 MILLION Some of you might think that the dessert above is suitable for Valentine's Day. For you rich people, you can find them at Arnaud’s in the French Quart of New Orleans. The strawberries were marinated in the finest port. These darling desserts were served with mint, cream and a 4.7 carat pink diamond ring once owned by English financier Sir Ernest Cassel.
Looks like a box, doesn't it? It's actually a fruitcake. Obviously, not an ordinary fruitcake. Why? It is decorated with 223 diamonds. Apparently, that was the only thing that was told. Perhaps, the other ingredients are also the world's most expensive. Two of the world's most expensive desserts were created by a Japanese pastry chef, including this fascinating cake sold on Christmas 2005. The pastry chef had said that it took him six months for this talented chef to conceptualise and another month to produce it. After scrolling through this very last entry, I know that the world has gone crazy or at least the people are as they're trying to include so very expensive things in our desserts. You might think, "It's just desserts. Why do they have to include all these things? It's useless anyway, it'll come out eventually after they are being digested." It's the way of life nowadays, luxury is necessary for those who really believes in it.
